Polybutylene Plumbing Copper Connections
Will Pass FHA  as long as no visible leaks are present.
24
In a market where we repair fully a home, we can replace the polybutylene in a single family dwelling up to 2800 sf from 5200-7500 depending on if it is on a slab or a basement. We would do that before risking the cosmetic repairs and sheetrock damage of our new repairs as they CAN break usually due to water pressure changes, Most  inspectors will address this in their report . The Buyer’s homeowners insurance may cover polybutylene plumbing failure.

So what if these conditions exist?
